One miscarriage of justice is one too many.
Here’s how you can help and donate to our cause.

International Wrongful Conviction Day (annually) on 2 October is when the world, collectively, acknowledges the travesty of wrongful convictions. Every day, people are wrongfully convicted for crimes they did not commit. Many sit in prison without access to legal support, advocates, and their case files, because the funds needed to help them simply are not available.

The Innocence Project London (IPL) was founded in 2010 and is based at the University of Greenwich. We exist to review and investigate cases of convicted individuals who have maintained their innocence but have exhausted the criminal appeals process.

We are their last hope.

As a charity, we rely on donations to sustain our commitment to provide access to justice for our clients and educate the next generations of legal professionals. Fundraising is key to maintaining our operations.

We are indebted to our partners Weil, Gotshal & Manges, the University of Greenwich, and Inventive Productions who provide financial and administrative support, and advocate on our behalf. Thank you for your continued belief in what we do; without your help, we would not be the organisation we’ve evolved into over the last few years.

But we need to – and can – do more.

With your assistance, we will be able to obtain legal case files which are required to deconstruct claims of innocence, securely transport evidence, visit our clients in prison, obtain trial transcripts, work with forensic experts, and so much more.

Please donate to the IPL giving month (1 – 31 October 2024). Every £ helps.

You can DONATE HERE.

  • £25 will help us buy stationary so we can send letters to applicants and clients in prisons across England and Wales.

  • £300 will help the IPL send letters and documents to applicants and clients for 6 months

  • £1000 will help fund a casework manager for 6 hours a week to support the administration of the IPL

  • £1500 will help instruct an expert to enhance CCTV

Thank you.
